Bacon & Swiss Chard Stew


1/2 a medium onion

4 smoked bacon medallions

8 medium Swiss chard leaves

200g  tinned chickpeas

400g tinned chopped tomatoes with herbs

200ml of water

salt and pepper



Chop the onion & bacon and cook for 3 minutes on a medium heat in fry light

Chop up the Swiss chard and add to the pan

Add the chickpeas, tomatoes and water

Sprinkle the salt & pepper and stir all of the ingredients together

Place a lid on the pan and simmer for 25 minutes.
